The Athenauem & Angel Hotel Wedding of Lindsey & Rob

Lindsey & Rob - great company and an absolutely wonderful couple. Their Suffolk wedding was held earlier this year at the Athenauem in Bury St Edmunds with a reception at the Angel Hotel. I photograph weddings of all shapes and sizes but this was possibly one of the most intimate I have had the pleasure of being invited to. Lindsey and Rob wanted to keep things simple and invited just a few close friends and family to share their day.

"Aaargggh omg they're sooo pretty!!!! That's me drooling all evening!!!"

I began by spending some time with Lindsey at the Angel, where I was joined by the fantastic Deb from Gemma Holiday Hair and the ever lovely, Melissa Abel on make-up! Rob was getting ready in the room below and so, a hop down a short flight of stairs, I was able to take a few pics of the groom getting suited and booted.

The ceremony was lovely, huge smiles all round. Afterward, the newlyweds went for a little walk in the Abbey Gardens where all it rained was confetti!

Back at the hotel, beautifully decorated by Noodlepip flowers we were treated to some fine dining and speeches. Afterward, Lindsey and Rob enjoyed a walk along Abbeygate Street and Angel Lane. We made some fantastic portraits and got back indoors just before the heavens opened.

There was more fine dining, drinking and celebrating to be done at 1921, just around the corner from the hotel and a sparkler exit to finish!

A perfect day all in all and a truly lovely group of people to have spent it with - enjoy!
